The Hertfordshire Constabulary recently welcomed three cohorts of student officers, totaling 31 men and 18 women, who completed their initial training. These officers came in through two different entry routes, the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) and the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP), showcasing the flexibility offered for those interested in a career in policing. Passing out parades were held on August 2, 4, and 10, where the new officers received framed certificates from senior officers. Chief Constable Charlie Hall expressed his delight in welcoming them to the police family and emphasized their commitment to upholding the highest standards and making a real difference in the community. Of the student officers, 33 came through the IPLDP route, while 16 joined via the DHEP for graduates with a degree. The Hertfordshire Constabulary offers various training programs that attract individuals from diverse backgrounds. The new officers will now begin their first postings in different areas of Hertfordshire.
